The Science and Engineering Apprentice Program (SEAP) office places academically talented students, ranging from middle school through college in Department of Defense (DOD) laboratories for eight continuous weeks during the summer.
JETS
Each March, SEAS hosts the annual JETS TEAMS competition. JETS TEAMS—which stands for Junior Engineering Technical Society’s Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science—is an annual national competition for high school students with an interest in math, science, and engineering applications. The competition brings together more than 14,000 students and 700 educators from around the country to solve real-world engineering challenges in a fun and fast-paced environment that inspires creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and peer-to-peer cooperation. For more information about the competition, please contact Mr. Howard Davis at 1-800-537-SEAS or via e-mail at uggweng@gwu.edu.
